As far as I know, there are few Iranian American adoptees. But in reality, there are many more than I imagine. We are the children who know little or nothing of their biological families. We know little or nothing of our heritage, or our culture, or our past. We didn’t feel like we belonged anywhere, burdened with the unknown, the anxiety of abandonment, and a longing to find ourselves. I would like to read your story, and ultimately compile an anthology of such stories. Please spread the word and contact me at: fdarnell@gmail.com.
This is completely voluntary, but I feel this work to be very important: for our voices to be heard.
