It’s been a particularly eventful Summer for the Iranian Diaspora Artists. Many have been blessed with prestigious International Awards in their discipline. Their personal success was also an opportunity for the laureates to highlight the struggle of their less fortunate compatriots and colleagues back home in their bid for freedom of expression, the respect of human rights and demands for genuine democracy.
