Washington, 10 November (WashingtonTV)—US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Monday that pursuing nuclear arms was not in Iran’s interests, and that Tehran’s secrecy over its nuclear program had given Washington “many reasons to worry.”
In a television interview with public broadcaster PBS during a visit to Germany, Clinton also said that the U.S. wants a “civil, diplomatic relationship” with Iran, and that President Barack Obama had conveyed that message to Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
