40 percent of families in lower income bracket TEHRAN,
Feb. 1 (MNA) – The Iran Statistics Center announced that out of 17
million households that have filled forms declaring their economic
status, 40 percent have been placed on the income bracket 1 (lower
income bracket).

million households that have filled forms declaring their economic
status, 40 percent have been placed on the income bracket 1 (lower
income bracket).
The administration has
categorized the people into three income brackets namely lower, middle,
and higher for the implementation of the subsidy reform plan.
According to the plan, the
subsidies will be cut in stages and the people will receive cash
subsidies instead.
The amount of cash subsidy
will be calculated based on the families’ incomes.
