Some 85 Israeli citizens who were wounded in the Second Lebanon War filed a legal suit in the US against Iran’s central bank and Iranian commercial banks for a total of $1 billion.
This is the suit of its kind against the Iranian banking system. The suit claims that Iran supplied Hezbollah with more than $50 million in the years leading up to the war with the intention of empowering the organization to fire at Israeli and American targets. (Vered Luvitch)
