Iran and Russia sign MoU to establish Qazvin Rasht Astara railroad

Iran Daily reported that the Islamic Republic of Iran and Russia signed MoU to establish a joint company for investment in Qazvin Rasht Astara railroad.

The MoU was inked at the end of the fourth meeting of the Iranian and Russian transportation workshop by Mr Majid Assadi Iranian deputy minister of road and transportation in economic planning affairs and Mr Alexander Davidenkoff Russian deputy minister of transportation.

The Russian official said that implementation of a joint project for electrifying railroads and sending rail equipments to Iran were among issues which were discussed during the meeting.
