A certain segment of Islamists who are grasping at straws to save their failed experiment in Islamist Republicanism talk about the “evolutionary process” which has taken hold in Iran thanks to their Islamist vision.
They claim since “Social (as well as biological) sciences tell us that everything must evolve over a period of time. As a result of the 1979 Revolution, the concept of republicanism and a republic directly based on people’s votes has been established.”
1-Does the experience of thirty one years of having absolute rule by an unelected lifetime Supreme Leader qualify for such rosy picture?
2-Does the thirty one year history of “voting” in the context of IRR qualify to call such a one man system “a republic”?
3- Isn’t what is going on in IRR the proof that not all the “evolutionary processes” are for the better as the longer the Islamist Rapists are in power the viler they become?
4- Isn’t the nonsensical “voting” in the context of IRR giving the people the lesson that voting will get them nowhere?
