My fellow blogger Redwine pointed me to the photos of Jafar Panahi’s release from Prison after paying his bail. French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner and Minister of Culture Frederic Mitterand applauded his release, regretting however that the Iranian filmmaker could not make it to the Cannes Jury where he was expected. Also firmly expressed their desire to see the filmmaker be able to work without constraints be them politcal or social.
