Obama To Urge Action In Middle East Peace Process At UN

U.S. President Barack Obama is set to call on world leaders to unite around the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.

In a speech to the annual session of the UN General Assembly today, Obama will call on world leaders to cast aside decades of divisions over the conflict.

He will tell world leaders that “peace must be made by Israelis and Palestinians,” but that the rest of the world has “a responsibility to do our part as well,” according to excerpts of his speech released by the White House.

Obama is to address the 65th annual session of the UN General Assembly shortly after it opens later today.
