Ever since the mosque in New York became a hot-button issue, I have been thinking about another such issue back in the Middle East.
I don’t think any fair minded person would object to the following statement. The building of any house of worship where there are no local zoning restrictions should not be a concern of anyone but the adherents of that brand of religion which care to build it.
By the same token this statement should apply at micro-level as well. That is, as a vessel, at its most basic level, the human body of the individual adherent is his/her mosque, church, temple, synagogue or what have you.
My question:
Why in some countries, including Iran, individual people who have chosen to vacate their old and erect a new house of worship within their own self are murdered by the state?
Right now many Iranians are waiting to be hanged for the crime of vacating their old Islamic house of worship and building a new Christian one within their own self.
