Iran has executed a man convicted of raping and murdering his 8-year-old niece, media outlets in the Islamic Republic reported. According to the reports, he was found guilty of committing actions that “violate modesty,” and was hung in public. The prosecutor said that after brutally raping the girl, the perpetrator killed her and stole her gold jewelry.
Some 155 people have been executed in Iran since the beginning of the year. (Dudi Cohen)
