Ahmadinejad starts committee to research Iran’s occupation in WWII

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Thursday commissioned his country’s foreign ministry to task a committee for gathering information on the occupation of Iran in World War II in preparation for filing a lawsuit against foreign occupiers.

During a launch ceremony for a five-volume series of books which include details on the occupation of Iran in WWII, the Iranian official Fars News Agency quoted Ahmadinejad as saying “these records unveil the thieves’ faces.”

Ahmadinejad asked historians to compile all the documents they could find concerning WWII, regardless of their source.

He added that it would be possible to present those documents one after the other to international courts.
