Iran’s incoming tourists up by 16 percent

 

The number of incoming tourists to Iran has increased by 16 percent in the first quarter of current Iranian year (started March 20, 2011).

Deputy Head of Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization Hamed Dehghanan announced that over 823,600 foreign tourists have visited Iran during the mentioned period.

According to IRNA, he underlined that the figure showed a rise of 16 percent in comparison with the same period the previous year.

The landscape of Iran is diverse and beautiful, providing a range of activities from hiking and skiing in the Alborz Mountains, to beach holidays by the Persian Gulf and the Caspian Sea all in a single season.
