Iran beats Indonesia 4-1 to advance to the next round of qualifiers for Brazil 2014.
In a day that Asian powers Japan and S. Korea lost to their opponents, Iran played a relatively easy game and beat Indonesia 4-1. Iran’s victory and the 0-0 tie between Qatar and Bahrain ensured Iran’s progress to the next round.
Iran’s next game will be on February 29th in Tehran against Qatar which is almost guaranteed a spot in the next round because of its superior goal difference compared to Bahrain.
Also, in the other good news of the day, despite Iran’s 4 goals and the ensuing celebrations, no Iranian players fingered the goal scorers, so every one should be available for the next match!
