DREAM Activists Mohammad Abdollahi and Diego Sepulveda to Speak @ IAAB Conf @ UCLA

DREAM activists, Mohammad Abdollahi and Diego Sepulveda, will join us at The IAAB Conference on October 13-14, 2012 to speak on the workshop entitled: “Immigration: Undocumented Experiences, Challenges, and Paths Forward.”  Organized by Ms. Pouneh Behin, a long-time activist who focuses on issues of immigration, workers rights, and advocacy for students of color on campuses, Mr. Abdollahi and Mr. Sepulveda will also be joined by Ms. Shirin Hakimzadeh, an expert on immigration law.

Mohammad Abdollahi and Diego Sepulveda are both outspoken activists in the DREAM Act movement, a movement that seeks to pass legislation to grant legal permanent status to undocumented immigrants who were raised in the United States.

IAAB’s 5th International Conference on the Iranian Diaspora will include 35 panel presentations, 10 workshops and roundtables, 6 films, and 2 keynote addresses from speakers Professor Hamid Naficy and Noosheen Hashemi.
