Let’s see, the revolution in 1979 can be best remembered by the above slogan. I have no doubt that the people of Iran couldn’t ask for more and hence were given what they asked for.
INDEPENDENCE (Esteghlal): The everyday prices of goods and services inIran is based on the fluctuation of Dollar ($). The Governmrnt imports over 75% of its necessities (more when there was no Embargo) and that is including Gasoline for the automobiles. This is interesting when Iran is itself one of the largest oil exporters. Our policies are driven by situations in South Lebanon and Syria and how Russia and China are going next to support us against the West’s actions. All Governmrnt officials have double citizenship from Syria, Lybia, etc. for contingencies of escape and rely on their return-favor system. So, here is the INDEPENDENCE.
FREEDOM (AZADI): Welcome to the land of free. one half of the population (women) are forced to a dress code and regardless of inconvenience or deseases must bear 95 F degree heat under massive clothes. They are not allowed to express themselves (recorded music) as it is banned by the law. Artists, filmmakers, musicians are all censored or are driven out of the country beacuse of extreme measures against them. Men and women are diveded in many fronts including at the seaside sopts and beaches, public gatherings, etc. The younger generation must face constant encounter with the government street police and deprived of basic things common to all youger generations worldwide. So, here is the FREEDOM.
ISLAMIC REPUBLIC (Jomhoori-eh Eslami):This invented system with no real definition has the world turned upside down on its head. It is a form of Theocracy with not regard for the good of its people except its survival at any cost. It crushes its opposition and rewards its loyals while the normal people suffer from economic and political pressures. A common teacher must have 3 jobs and work 14 hours just to be able to meet its families basic needs, while super Billionaires are emerging everyday with connections to the governmrnt. (the new tAghootis I assume and millions of Mostaz-efins). The only Agenda is their survival and carrying out Ayatollah Khomeini’s wish of Glory of Islamic Shiates “Breakfast in Ghom, Lunch at Karbala and Dinner at Felestin”. That is with no Israel at site. Its people suffer under international embargo struggling to survive, and sending Billions to support Hezbollah and Syria. Holding steady on the right to develop Nuclear Energy (no Bombs) to reduce its people electricity bill in future and not caring if a family is able to buy its basic food needs under this international embargo. Where is the priority? Of course the Nuclear Bomb to secure its survival and not the comfort of its people. So, here is the ISLAMIC REPUBLIC
