Qatar Airways is going to start direct flights to Iran’s central city of Isfahan as of February 2019.

According to CEO of Qatar Airways Akbar al-Baker, the airline will increase the number of flights to Iran by launching a direct flight from Doha to Isfahan twice a week.

The Isfahan-bound flights, using Airbus A320 jetliners, will start on February 4, 2019.

Isfahan will be the fourth destination of Qatar Airways in Iran after Tehran, Shiraz and Mashhad.

On Sunday, Qatar Airways celebrated Qatar’s National Day at the Old Airport Park, announcing plans to add 15 new destinations to its network in 2019.

Al-Baker said the national carrier of Qatar plans to receive 36 new aircraft in 2019.
