Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah said Wednesday he is ready to ask Iran to provide the Lebanese Army with weapons and air defence systems against Israel, a local media report said, Anadolu reports.
“I’m a friend of Iran, and I’m willing to bring the Lebanese Army air defence systems from Iran to confront Israel,” Lebanon’s Naharnet news site quoted Nasrallah as saying.
He was speaking during a televised address to mark the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.
“Will the Lebanese government dare to accept the Iranian proposals? Why should Lebanon remain afraid to cooperate with Iran?” he said, calling on Beirut to accept the offer, according to Naharnet.
Iran will not be alone if America launches a war against it, he added.
