"Here's a wonderful Iranian artist well worth featuring." That's all the email message said. Skeptical but curious, I clicked on the web address. Just one look at one picture, and I thought "wonderful" is not the right word.

Seyed Alavi's work is contemporary but timeless, modern but spiritual. It's progressive but unpretentious and friendly.

Alavi is a widely respected and sought after conceptual artist living in San Francisco's Bay Area. He has worked on numerous projects and has been featured in many books and articles.
