Man behind Googoosh
I feel our people don't give credit to Shahyar
Ghanbari as he is the one behind Googoosh's success. It was his poems
that touched our souls.
Of course Googoosh is also a very talented artist but look at the history
of the hit songs: Do Mahi, Harf, Safar, Jomeh..."Baa soghouteh dastaayeh
to dar tanam chizi forou rikht..." These were all written by Ghanbari.
WHY DOESN'T GOOGOOSH TALK ABOUT SHAHYAR GHANBARI? WHY IS THIS A BIG
CRIME?
Shahyar Ghanbari is one of the few great Iranian poets still alive (we
lost Ahmad Shamlou and Nader Naderpour). When do you think will be a proper
time to let Shahyar Ghanabri know that we need him and we need his exceptional
style of poetry and literature?
Even Googoosh talked about Sahmalou and asked for a minute of silence
during her concert. Then why is she not talking about Shahyar? Shahyar
is still well and not DEAD!
I email my friends in Iran. They tell me Soroudeh Iran is a song by
Shahyar called "Ghadeghan". Why doesn't anybody in the U.S. acknowledge
this?

about Shahyar Ghanbari and let the world know that artists like him, Shamlou
and Naderpor only come along so often!
