Need web site on Iranian film
I would like to draw your attention on what I believe is absolutely
important for the cultural preservation of Iranian film and television
programs especially those belonging to the pre-revolutionary era. films
like "Atash bedooneh dood" or "Deliraneh tangestaan",
"Sultaneh Saheb Garaan" or the "Cow", "Daiejan
Napoleon" and many others.
I think it is important to be able to create web pages on the filmography
of those years which could include film stills, interviews as well as the
stories that took place behind the scenes. See
Iran Media
On the other hand I was wondering whether, you had any information on
Reza Badyii the very first Iranian director who made it in the states,
and who directed films like "The six Million Dollar Man", "
The Magician" with Bill Bixby, and certain episodes of "The incredible
Halk".
Cinema is both a visual memiory, but the experience of the film crews
are also important as a testimony of the cultural film heritage.
On a final note I would like to know wheather there are collectors who
have acquired the posters of the films shown in those years. As you may
know There are posters of films which, including american films with persian
titles which should cost a fortune, imagine having "Ben Hur"
, "Spartacus" or "The Ten Commandements" posters in
Persian, they could be worth a lot as collecor items, and are a testimony
of the films shown in that periode.
Also why not create an official web site for "Fardin" who
left us lately?
