Official Noruz recognition
The City Council of the City of Mission Viejo, California, will adopt
a proclamation in their meeting of Monday 3/19/01 to recognize "March
20th" as the "Nowrooz - Iranian Year."
I am trying to get this news to as many as Iranian-Americans who live
in Mission Viejo, or south Orange County in general. Please use whatever
means available to you to spread this joyful and important news to your
membership, by either emailing it to your members, printing it in the news
letter, or announcing it in your monthly meeting.
I urge all the Iranians who hear this news to show up in the Mission
Viejo City Council meeting on Monday 3/19/01 at 6:00pm to express their
support and appreciation for the City Council's action.
The City Hall is located at 29509 Pala, Mission Viejo. The City's website
address is www.ci.mission-viejo.ca.us
Those who can not attend the Council meeting on Monday may show their
support by either emailing, faxing or calling a note to Mayor Craycraft.
Such mutual actions will definitely be of great benefit to the promotion
of the interests of the Iranian community in Orange County.
