I emailed you a few months ago and I was amazed by Saman's
art work. He is extremely talented.
I was so excited that finally I know someone in the U.S. who is a real
artist and a real human being. I used the word "know" because
I think I know him through his artwork. Not only is he an artist, but also
he has felt something that not many people have felt and that is the way
women live in Iran.
I lived there for my whole life and just moved to Los Angeles three
years ago. My generation is called bachehaa-ye enghelaab. Saman is one
of us but he moved out earlier. So to remain a true Iranian with a heart
outside of Iran is not easy.
To tell you the truth, The first time that I saw Saman's work on the
web, I felt like I am with my friends in Iran and for the first time
after three years I had a beautiful feeling in my heart and I was kind
Finally I found someone who knows what has happened to us back there
and can show it to the world in a fantastic way. I really appreciate his
art. I hope there was a way that I could know Saman more. If he ever comes
to Los Angeles and felt like seeing a friend, I'm here.
