Praying to holy Maria

In response to Hanan's "Thank you USA, Israel":

I just read your letter to Iranian.com and I couldn’t help it not to cry! Dear Hanan, please do not forget that we are all in this together, the whole world I have to say, everybody like you and I, no matter where they come from or what nationality they have! Beirut and Lebanon represents the whole world who is gathered in it during ages and decades to celebrate humanity and the world heritage of what is called civilization.

Hanan, believe me, I have been asking around myself in the village where I live, here in the Netherlands where the most indifferent people of the whole world do live, about what they do feel about Lebanon and what is going on there, believe me even the Dutch are disappointed, everybody is now telling the same, United Nations and their office is just doing nothing but spoiling our money and taxes which are supposed to be paid by our governments so they can stop deliberate killings of states like Israel but nobody does listen! Those on top of the power, are all playing false, they don’t mean what they say! They only think of their great palaces and holidays and that’s it!

The European government does not care about what is happening to the poverty among its own residents, illegal immigration, sexual abuse of children, drug-traffic you name it, let alone paying attention to what is happening to the habitants of Lebanon! Why? Because as long as it is not harming their own house or bank-account, nothing else does matter. They don’t care about us, why should they care about you?

And on the top of all that, they are all doing exactly what their financiers and banks are telling them to do, who are off course the leaders of the world and among the strongest countries of this planet. They don’t care about Global Warming or Global Dimming which is already taking lives and damaging the planet, why should they care about you or me? We are all helpless, we are all forgotten and we are all in this together.

I am crying now and writing you this letter as I exactly understand where are you going through at the moment…so sad, so unfair, so really unfair! You had all these dreams of getting married in (in my eyes) the most beautiful city of the world, in Beirut, which I haven’t seen and so much want to see and breath its air, smell the flavours and see the Lebanese living happily ever after together in the most historic part of the world and now, you have to sit at home, at least safe and all-right, but cancelling your wedding and crying, asking yourself why this had to happen?!

I feel really sorry for you and believe me, I am with you, my heart is with you, with all the Lebanese and all those who are suffering and have lost their loved-ones or even worse, had to abandon their own homes in their own country and feel their villages and now realising they may never return as Israel is going to level even those still standing houses or buildings. They have no money, no shelter, no one who can help and no one who can reach out for them to hear their voice!

Be strong, be yourself and do not forget, we are with you, me and my boy-friend are thinking of you, your people and all those like you, every day and night, I am watching BBC World all the time and can not get in peace, I am listening to Fairuz for days and I let her sing her legendary “Be habaak ya Lubnan, ya watani” repeatedly and am praying, crying for all of you in front of my holy Maria statue asking her whether she wants to help you all! Save your lives and bring happiness and joy back to your country!

Gosh, I am crying like the hell now! Hanan, keep praying, be strong and hold on all those precious friends, family and relatives such as your German grandmother and do not let them alone! Do not lose your faith and keep praying. And above all, do not forget, I, Charlotte Najafi, born in Ahwaz, Iran, Dutch citizen since 1990 is with you, next to you, reaching out her hands to help you, she is there at your home with all her heart and soul, wanting you to be happy, to get married and raise your children in a the bride of all the cities of the world, our Beirut!

My whole existence is with you and your family, with all those who suffer and are dropping their tears like you… do not cry, please, do not get sad or lose your hope, be strong for me, to show people like me that Lebanese are indeed the strongest people of all ages, look at your history Hanan, your nation has been managing to remain itself and keep its pride during its occupation by Persians, Greeks, Egyptians, Romans and it always has delivered some of the most famous and great personalities of all ages such as musicians, singers, designers, doctors and teachers etc etc, do not be sad, I am with you and I do pray for you.

You know dearest Hanan, I have been there too myself, when I was a kid, the war went on between Iraq and Iran, I have suffered too, I had to flee and leave all my friends and our belongings behind, I also had to adapt myself to the situation in different cities and to some totally indifferent people, and sadly enough, wonder why nobody did care! In my time, there was really nobody who did care!

There was no Internet, no mobile-phone, no CNN or BBC World like it is now, or any organisation or institution who did care about us, the Iranian children, innocent children like me living perhaps safely somewhere in a rich good area of the capital city or even being able of leaving her country and spend some time in Europe from time to time, but there were many other kids, who were not that fortunate like me and had to stay behind and they really did wonder why nobody wanted to see or hear them!

I tried to ease their pain by telling them stories of places I had seen and how the world outside did looked like and that has made me who I am today! A sensitive and caring person, love freedom and happiness for everybody and as I always say: everybody is free to feel good! unfortunately the more you grow up, the more you realise that you are alone on this planet and that nobody does care! What I this time do see or hear, is that there are many who do care or want to be able of doing anything about the situation to change it and bring peace back, but they are helpless!

Why? Because of our governments, those stupid fundamentalists who think by creating chaos and anarchy and an armagedon, these so called prophets will return to this planet, not knowing that there are not such persons or stories! That these are all made up and that there are perhaps Aliens who have created us or maybe just an accident by nature!

Is that there is no God who believes in himself as long as it wants to see blood, suffering, dead children, animals and ruined cities and great civilizations like yours! or these rich imperialists and opportunists who only do care about their saving-accounts and how much they will get at the end of the month, the rest doesn’t care!

Many of these so called organisations are just made by them in order to earn more money and to rob us all by let us all pay taxes and work harder. They won’t care, but no worries! As long as people like me or you are there to make this world a better place, there will be a point of which peace will be made possible.

I wish I was just like Fairuz, so famous and rich with my heavenly voice so I could go to the street, invite all the journalists, TV-stations, radio’s and the whole world, and sing them for them my love for my country, for my city and to show my sympathy and pain for all those who are suffering! So the whole world could see me, hear me and maybe by hearing my music and voice, could melt down and look into their hearts and see the real truth!

But I am not and I can’t do that, what I can do is to send you a letter and express you my deepest sympathy and to tell you that even I, Charlotte Najafi, an Iranian young woman, is suffering! That she doesn’t want anything except peace for you, all of you, also for those in Iraq and Iran. Believe me, dearest Hanan, I do think of you and tonight, before going to bed, I will pray for you so you soon can marry and celebrate it in your Beirut! So it will be as it is supposed to be, the very best day of your whole life! And of your soon to be your husband forever and ever.

Hanan, just be patient and let us both pray for your country,  I will do that, I will again stand in front of my holy Maria and ask her to stop this deliberately killing of innocents and to rescue all the souls and bring back peace to the region. So, I can someday visit Lebanon, visit you and invite you to my home. I can’t do anything for you Hanan, but with this, hereby, I hope I can at least have done something for you, see this letter as my gift, of a stranger in a so called paradise to you and your husband! I don’t know you, but that doesn’t matter, you are as human as I am and as beautiful as I am, I hope you always will be happy and get the chance to get old in your own home-town. I do think of you and please, accept my sincere sympathy and my present for you, my heart for Lebanon. Comment

Love,
Charlotte Najafi
The Netherlands

(I wish I could do send some cards to those who think the same like you, who think are left behind on this planet to show them we do care, we all care and even Dutch citizens do care, helplessly off course, what do they can do? Nothing, we all go to work, finish our jobs, come home, cook and eat and watch TV and see how sad it is, hear the more innocents are killed and read these articles in the newspapers, the scream of humanitarian organisations calling for an immediate cease-fire from the Dutch government, but even they don’t care! The most stupid and smallest country of the EU, doesn’t care, why? They have to behave as G.W. Bush will stop financing their economy! They even have to send the army to Afghanistan and meanwhile these bodies are coming in by flights from Afghanistan! I wish I could do something for you at least…Hanan, my partner and I, do love your vatani and we can only share that with you, each time we listen to Fairuz, … Be habaak Lubnan, ya watani!")
