Puma signs Iran for World Cup France 98
May 20, 1998 (IranSoccer98) - Puma has become the official kit and equipment supplier to Iran.
This is the first time the Iranian Football Association has signed a contract with an official supplier of branded sports wear and sports equipment.
The five-year deal to commence before the World Cup, which also includes the under 18 and under 21 teams, will bring the total of teams wearing Puma in France to five. The other countries are Austria, Bulgaria, Cameroon and Morocco.
The President of the Iranian FA, Mr Safaei-Farahani commented: "Puma has a high level of brand awareness in Iran. We expect this to be a real boost for our team."
Iran are to play in Group F in the World Cup facing Germany, Yugoslavia and the USA.
