AFP photographer Manoocher Deghati (L) ducks for cover while bodyguards
hold an anti-bullet shield over French Prime Minister Lionel Jospin while
he is led away from Palestinian demonstrators (right and top) into his
limousine in Bir Zeit university campus 26 February 2000. Palestinian students
hurled stones at the French PM as he visited the campus amid fury over
comments he made condemning Hezbollah guerrillas fighting Israeli occupation
of southern Lebanon. Deghati was injured when he was run over by a car
from Jospin's delegation as the French PM was evacuated.
