Photo of the Day TEHRAN, IRAN, 23 January, 1999: An Iranian plainclothes policeman (L) disperses January 23 Iranian demonstrators in Tehran who were participating in a rally in memory of two writers Mohammad Mokhtari and Mohammad Pouyandeh who were murdered last month in Iran. The writers, who campaigned for human rights, were kidnapped and killed in early December. The intelligence ministry has admitted that they had been killed by rogue secret agents.
