WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Despite a recent rise in crude oil prices, U.S. Energy Secretary Bill Richardson said Thursday he thinks prices will stabilize as additional OPEC oil supplies hit the market While oil prices are now $8 a barrel lower than a month ago, this week they were at their highest level since OPEC agreed to ramp up its production by 1.7 million barrels per day (bpd) on April 1 >>> FULL TEXT

* Iran said seeking vegetable oils - US trade

CHICAGO, April 18 (Reuters) - Iran is seeking 20,000 tonnes of soybean oil and 20,000 tonnes of sunseed oil for last-half May through first-half June shipments, U.S. exporters said. TEHRAN ­­ When Ali Kermani picks up his diploma later this year, the 22-year-old engineering student at Tehran University will begin what has become a rite of passage for Iran's young and educated: flight from their homeland. Along with thousands of other Iranian graduates, Kermani will line up outside foreign embassies in the hope of nabbing a work visa.
