ALMATY, Oct 7 (Reuters) - U.S. oil major Mobil slammed the United States' position on energy investment in Iran on Wednesday, saying that Washington's reluctance to do business with Tehran was ``doing more harm than good.'' Carl Burnett, president of Mobil Oil Kazakhstan, is keen to see U.S.-Iranian relations thaw, because it would help unlock Central Asia's vast oil and gas wealth by providing an alternative pipeline route to world markets... TEHRAN, Oct 6 (Reuters) - Iran, facing a sharp fall in its oil income, has drastically cut government allocations to mines and industries, a senior parliament deputy said on Tuesday. Mohammad Baqer Nobakht, a leading member of the parliament's budget commission, said state hard currency funding for industries was cut to $360 million in the six months to September, from $1.85 billion in the same period a year earlier, Iranian television reported ... * Oil's infant recovery takes a blow

LONDON, Oct 2 (Reuters) - Battered world oil markets edged lower again on Friday after a heavy price slump on Thursday triggered by a wave of speculative selling by investment funds. London futures for November Brent blend crude limped nine cents lower at $14.00 a barrel by midafternoon after losing 59 cents on Thursday.
