O - Hum
November 28, 2000
Rock songs with 14th century Persian poems? Yup. Sure. Why not?
A band in Iran, calling itself "O-Hum", has released their first album called Nahal-e heyrat (Young tree of bewilderment) using Hafez poems as lyrics. It sounds a lot better than what you may think. They deserve a lot of praise just for their courage and enthusiasm.
To know more about the band (Sharam Sherbaf, Mani Safikhani, Shahrokh-e Izadkhah, Babak Riahipoor), go here.
