Freer Film Friday: Iranian Art, Music, and Film

Join us to celebrate the 2018 Iranian Film Festival at this special after-hours event! Experience both the traditional and contemporary culture of Iran with music and an exclusive sneak peek of the new exhibition The Prince and the Shah: Royal Portraits from Qajar Iran. Enjoy small bites and a cash bar, and at 7 pm, catch special screenings of two films by Iranian director Mohsen Makhmalbaf: Images of the Qajar Dynasty and Once Upon a Time, Cinema.

Members of the Silk Road Society enjoy special access and benefits! The Silk Road Society offers young professionals in the DC area a chance to experience Asian art and culture in engaging and creative contexts. Members receive benefits such as special access to Freer|Sackler exhibitions and evening events, plus discounts in Smithsonian shops and at local hotspots.
