Iran international winger Alireza Jahanbakhsh scored Brighton’s fastest goal in Premier League history.
The Seagulls defeated Bournemouth 2-0 thanks to goals from Jahanbakhsh and Aaron Mooy.
Jahanbakhsh, who was making just his first league start of the season after drawing 24 blanks last campaign, scored just after three minutes into the match.
He couldn’t contain his emotions after finally ending his 18-month goalscoring drought.
The result moves Brighton five points above the relegation zone, while Bournemouth has now lost seven of his last nine and only has a two-point gap in Aston Villa’s third background.
