I like to comment on the two Iranian [gay] men standing so close to each other and making derogatory statements about one's reaction to females being abused by muslims. One does not need to have suffered personally from abuse to stand up for the rights of those who have been abused or mistreated, although personal experience makes one's commitment to defending human rights stronger. When someone tries to demean someone else's reaction to abusive behavior towards females [or others] as being the result of a 'personal wound,' that someone is just demonstrating his/her low level of intellect and understanding, and one has to ignore such comments as not being worthy of any response.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and art with us.

Iran 2050.
by comments on Tue Jul 12, 2011 03:22 PM PDTI liked everything in here, but I don't get the Iran 2050.
I didn't understand the reason that you expected / predicted "Iran 2050"? How confident / sure are you about that?
I have no idea about the websites either. I only know 4-5 Iranian sites and most are music except IC, which is a kind of vibrant music to me!
Thanks for sharing, great topic
by Rastin on Tue Jul 12, 2011 03:07 PM PDTI haven't finished reading all your links, but does anyone know to what degree the things mentioned in //mianeh.net/article/problem-iranian-men (4) happened during the Shah's reign?

by Shepesh on Tue Jul 12, 2011 01:34 PM PDTThis is a good illustration. Men sometimes use verbal harassment to remind women who is still in charge.
Iranian women in 2050 can react like Katie Homes in SNL!
by Esfand Aashena on Tue Jul 12, 2011 10:14 AM PDTI can't find the youtube clip today but when Katie Holmes hosted Saturday Night Live she played in a skit with Will Ferrell where she kept grabbing his balls to make him talk and pay for his misdeeds!
Here is a link and some pics to the skit!
Everything is sacred
Great blog, timely topic
by Hooshang Tarreh-Gol on Tue Jul 12, 2011 09:55 AM PDTnot to mention good sense of humor, the phallic symbol at the center of square and its changing 'attire,' " a secular republic of men" indeedly! Joking aside, violence against women, in
Iran is only increasing and getting worse and not better. In such a context your contributions are very much needed. Thank you.
