Please try "Democracy Now" by  Amy Goodman:

That will give you a lot better "other side" without the baggage of BBC.

I have lived in US for close to thirty years and have not yet seen once, on national media, an opposition to capitalist system! Assume you will see that, they will not get the time of day to actually talk. The discussion between the two so called parties is so shallow that even Iran's debates seem more open.

Watching presstv, RT, BBC, VOA, and Aljazeera gives you somehow complete pictures. Each one of those groups present "facts" and news from their own agenda. None are fair and open, none are free and independent.

did more to destabalize the Shah than any new organization. They would regularly inform people the next planned demonstration. They manipulated the Iranian people more than once.

The job of BBC has always been to serve the intrested of UK. I would not trust them for one second. When Putin went after the oligarchs BBC was all up in arms. Specially over oligarch khodorkovsky. I used to read their HYS and was amused to see khodorkovsky get no support. Not even from the British people. The attitude was "so what let Putin stick it to him". But it was pretty obvious BBC was trying to maniuplate public opinion. In that situation they failed miserably.

One time when BBC did act independently was with Andrew Gilligan. It was a report on how Blair faked the Iraqi threat. PM Blair was not amused. He set up a kangaroo "investigation" that found Blair completely clear. Blamed the whole thing on Gilligan. So much for journalistic independence. Then the whole BBC top brass was replaced as a warning. Know who is your boss. Sure BBC may tell a truth. But only as much and when it suits the UK interests.

VATANAM

It is a fact that BBC gets some of its budget from UK government

which recently cut their budget. Some might like BBC to cut IRI's throat, but that doesn't mean BBC is an angel. IRI is looking for an excuse to cut off BBC so there is no voice left against IRI. BBC is doing a good job.

we should only hear IR's side of things when it allows opposing points of view to be openly discussed in Iran.  Otherwise, the IR should not be heard at all.  Agreed?

According to Iran

To have both sides, Iran says:

I guess Iran only like RT news.
