Finging a broken guitar in street trash inspired Rana Farhan to write blues and jazz songs based on Persian classical poetry by Rumi and Hafiz, New York-based singer Rana Farhan tells VOA Persian TV's Behnam Nateghi. Shot at Cafe Vivaldi near New York University, the report, aired on VOA Persian TV in May 2007. Farhan's next concert is in Los Angeles with with Shahrzad Sepanlou on September 17, 2011, followed by San Francisco on October 2, 2011.
