Abbas Amir-Entezam former Deputy Prime Minister in the Interim Cabinet of Mehdi Bazargan, was sentenced to life imprisonment on charges of spying for the U.S. Subject to Torture, he was placed under house Arrest only in 1995, and remains a Prisoner to this day.
