Season 2 of Shahs of Sunset is upon us and another season of Trash TV, Iranian style! The representatives of Iranian culture and the best Iran has to offer are on the small screen with all the trimmings! We have nuclear impasse with Iran and 5 + 1 on one side and GG who can't add 5 + 1 on the other side!

They couldn't make this stuff up about Iranians if they tried and what you see is what you get! Here's a taste of Season 2 premiere which will be Sunday nights at 10/9 Central on Bravo.

Recently there have been belog after belog, petition after petition, in support of bringing back the fallen freedom fighters of i.com! Yes the repeat offenders who have been belocked before - several times in case of some - who can register again but that's not good enough, JJJ or Mr. Amin will have to admit their wrong doing and release the dragons!

I had noticed that i.com has been acting like no one cares any more and it looks like a shop that is about to close. Anyway, apparently there is iroon.com and JJJ has opened it and not bothered to tell us! Oh well. I just found out about it and the good person that I am I wanted to tell you all to move in and ruin the neighborhood!

Are these sanctions hurting average Iranians or not?

I have noticed that those of us who are in favor of sanctions are categorized in two groups. Those who have no tarof and are actually more realistic and openly advocate more and more sanctions and war - pre-emptive or full scale - and don't differentiate between the regime and Iranian people and say fuck them all!

A friend of mine sent me the above screen shot of Trita Parsi's deposition and since Patriot separately asked me to write a blog about my comment on Iraj Khan's blog, I decided to comply (coplakh in Klingon language ;-) and write a belog!

I hope the screen shot is ledgible but this appears to be the only place where any reference to i.com commentators have been found, so look for yourself and you be the Judge!

داشتم روزنامه امروز اطلاعات رو میخوندم یک مقاله توجه من رو جلب کرد. خواستم یک بلاگ بنویسم و لینک بدم یادم افتاد که اطلاعات لینک هاش هفته گیست، یعنی‌ هفتهٔ دیگه اون لینک مقاله‌ اون روزه. به هر حال، این مقاله رو پایین کپی‌ می‌کنم، امید وارم خوندنش خستتون نکنه، اگر هم کرد که کرد!

More than 4 years ago when Republicans were campaigning against Obama the word Elitist was being thrown left and right. Obama was an elitist who had gone to Harvard and presumably didn't represent rednecks from the battleground red states! Notice how the phrase elitist has not been used for months! Dumbing down the candidates has been the Republican strategy for more than a decade!

Sinbad restaurant in Tehran

Another nice restaurant that I had the opportunity to visit was Sinbad restaurant in Tehran at the corner of Pahlavi street (now Vali Asr) and Takht Jamshid street (now Taleghani) in the heart of Tehran. It is in the basement of a hotel and the sign at the front door says "Parsa Hotel & Sinbad's Ship Restaurant."

Daloon Deraz restaurant in Tehran

This year I was able to visit some restaurants that had live entertainment and I think the best one was Daloon Deraz restaurant in the heart of Tehran right in front of the Tehran Heart Center in North Karegar street. It was also the more expensive of these restaurants but considering they had 4 singers and one of them very famous, I think it was worthed.

Tehran's Old Sycamore Trees

Last year there was a report that mentioned the old Sycamore trees in Tehran's Pahlavi street (now Vali Asr street) and northern part of Tehran are vanishing. Then there was a discussion that ensued about regime people (Pasdaran) intentionally cutting these trees to deny street protestors' cover during demonstrations!
