Who am I? I listen to Eckard Tolle and he suggests stay right here right Now and ask your soul „who am I?” He says repeat it and Deepack Chopra gives me affirmations such as „ I love myself just the way I am” „ I am love”! Does that make things easier for me? For Now yes! If I take every moment of my life as Now then there is no problem, they are right! It is only the thought of the past that drags me down to the city of ”Vahmestan” (the city of illusions) and the fear of future that navigates me to the city of „Tarsestan”(the city of fears).

I was in the railway station of a small village in Hungary to catch a train to Budapest the capital. Drawn in my own thoughts I heard two little Hungarian boys singing, “tike tike kardi del mano…” a song by Arash! The European radios play his songs a lot. I couldn’t stop smiling. It was very cute. They didn’t know what they were singing. I doubt they knew that the song was Persian.

One would think we Iranians, who live abroad, are immune from the intimidation that the government of Iran plays on its citizens. But no! Even if you have a another nationality they keep asking people, who go to the embassy, about you. In the country I live, my students in the university have been asked if they knew me. Of course they do! Some have gotten so scared that they have disconnected from me on facebook, some others don’t want to be seen with me in public.

The justice system in Iran is in great need of training ,says I, who is not even a lawyer but aware of basic human rights. The trial of the 7 Baha'is in iran started today,of course without allowing any observer not to say that even their lawyers had to fight their way to the courtroom. But of course the prisoners' interrogators from the Ministry of Intelligence and a film crew were seen going in, raising questions about the nature of the trial.

What would be the desire of any government from its citizens? I am not sure if any government knows the weight of this question, but one of its longings could be to have loyal citizens. Citizens who abide by the democratic laws that hopefully the government has legislated in a democratic parliament.

Maybe those citizens are desirable, who are motivated and never forget the imperative to tend to the needs of the children of their land, offer them lessons that develop their spiritual faculties and lay the foundations of a noble and upright character.
