Kseniya Simonova (born 1985) is a sand animator from Ukraine who recently won the "Ukraine's got talent" award.

"We will not go down in the night

without a fight

You can burn up our mosques and our homes and our schools

But our spirits will never die

We will not go down Gaza tonight..."

Then/Now: Nazi Germany and the Gaza Strip

These images were carefully compiled by a Catholic to show the degree of malevolence in both eras. They were intended as a critique of the conduct of the state of Israel, not the Israeli people and not Jews.

Warning: some images include graphic results of violence.

Stop the Holocaust in Gaza!

In February 2008, Israel’s deputy defense minister Matan Vilnai threatened Palestinians in the occupied Gaza Strip with a “holocaust.” His threat came a day after Israeli occupation forces killed 31 Palestinians, nine of them children, one a six-month-old baby, in a series of air raids across the Gaza Strip. A report on the BBC News website headlined “Israel warns of Gaza ‘holocaust’” noted that the word “holocaust”—shoah in Hebrew—is “a term rarely used in Israel outside discussions of the Nazi genocide during World War II.”
