A rogue prince (JAKE GYLLENHAAL) reluctantly joins forces with a mysterious princess (GEMMA ARTERTON) and together, they race against dark forces to safeguard an ancient dagger capable of releasing the Sands of Time—a gift from the gods that can reverse time and allow its possessor to rule the world.

Directed by Mike Newell (“Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire”) with a cast that includes SIR BEN KINGSLEY and ALFRED MOLINA, PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME hits theaters Memorial Day Weekend, 2010.

Realism

I agree that it's disappoiting there isn't more Persians in the picture. I say that knowsing that Afghan thesp Daud Shah has a supporting role, and he is Persian as most Afghans are.  However, I think it's important for us to support that there is even a film that has the title Persia in the title and it's not shown as the evil counterpart to the Greek or Roman Empires

Persian means multicultural. Iranian means from the country of Iran. There are many Persians or Iranian peoples living outside of Iran.  It would behoove Persians all over the world, if Iranians respected this reality.

It is a little disappointing that there is not a single Persian actor or actress in the movie according to this article, (maybe some Persian extras) I want to see the real Persian stuff!......but I will definitely go watch it!
