"Middle Eastern Mentality"
by Khodadad Rezakhani on Thu May 22, 2008 09:32 PM PDTWait a second. I hear too much about this "Middle Eastern Mentality" as of late. What is it? Does the weather in the "Middle East" (middle of the east of Europe) carry a certain bug we should be aware of?
Apparently, it is a bad thing, from the pejurative tone given to it by its users. Not sure of, but just because this mentality has not worked in a post-Industrial Revolution world, should we dismiss it entirely? After all, this "Middle East" and its mentality worked from 3300 BC to ca. AD 1750 pretty well, pretty much from the Dawn of "Civilisation" to the Dawn of Colonialism (which one is free to judge qualitatively). So, why exactly is it a bad thing?
