i was going to go Bukhara via Istanbul (in 2005) but due to unrests in Andijan I was stuck in Istanbul for few weeks and could never get the vis. (They stopped issuing visas to Americans then). how did you get a visa? was it hard?
oh and also Bukhara is not the capital of Uzbekistan..the capital would be Tashkent ...
