Ramin, 10 years, an Afghan immigrant, sits outside a barber shop with a weighing scale in the Grand Basar of Bandar Abbas, Hormozgan province, south-western Iran. When he tried joining a local school several years ago, he was told that as an immigrant he could not be admitted. The following year, he was told that there was no room anymore. Since he really wanted an education, he joined a literacy class in his neighbourhood.
