Since when do strangers do eyd didani of one another? I hate it when the Iranian businessmen use every occassion to make a buck. Worst yet are the bored people who attend because they have nothing better to do. What are we teaching to our kids about our traditions. This is certainly not an Iranian tradition and nothing close to the true eyd didani when kids along with their parents were properly dressed and went to visit family and close friends to have a cup of tea and some shirini. Best part was the eydi, a nominal amount of money handed to the kids as they were departing. We were not street people.
Street Fair Not Eyd Didani
