A friend saw this and was kind enough to send it to me. The people behind me couldn't see, so i lowered my sign.
Though in a way that added to the image. Thank you to the person that posted this. I'm the designer and, "Pari the Protester" was a labour of love. It thrills me to see that she gets my point accross.
I really wanted to make a positive icon, free of hate and violence that embodied the beauty and strength of our brave protesters in Iran. Her face and hejab and even hair style have been altered to resemble the female Iranian protesters. I am forever in awe of their bravery, grace and beauty.
Oh, and those those people who think she's 'giving the arm,' she's not. She's rolling up her sleve and showing her muscle as a sign of strength. for those of you who do not know, she is based on "Rosie the Riveter" a positive feminist icon from WWII.
Im not hiding
