The stench in some of these alleyways was unbearable. The ones that are not cleared yet are still used as public toilets. Granted, some of the ones that are cleared are also still used for that purpose. In this shot I was interested in documenting that access the alleyway has been blocked from this end, but the man thought I wanted to take his photograph. I hit two birds with one stone.
