Nabeel Yasin is one of Iraq's most famous poets.

As a young man in the 1970's, he was put on Saddam Hussein's cultural blacklist - he and his family were persecuted until he went into hiding and eventually fled for his life.

A new film, The Poet of Baghdad has been made about Nabeel's life. It is an extraordinary journey, of loss and longing but ultimately of hope for the future.

Anwar Hamed went to meet him.
