A radio DJ has lost his job after stopping the Queen's Christmas message, telling listeners it was boring.

Birmingham-based BRMB presenter Tom Binns cut short the speech during his live show on Christmas Day, saying: "Two words: Bor-ing".

The show was broadcast on BRMB, Wyvern in Herefordshire and Worcestershire, Mercia, in Warwickshire, and Beacon Radio in the Black Country.

Mr Binns, who is also a stand-up comedian, said it had just been a joke.

The stations' owner Orion Media said a number of listeners had complained.

Mr Binns, who has previously been on BBC Radio 2 under the guise of spoof hospital DJ Ivan Brackenbury, said he had received a death threat following what he did.

Bafava Which dictatorship has a Free Press ?

The King or Queen Represent the Country like the Flag. I don't say that this is a fair treatment the DJ received but usually this kind punishment is symbolic and usually the guy is reinstated in his job. Also I don't think he was fired on a public Station but a privately run station so it has nothing to do with the government.

If this was in a dictatorship it would be done either in private or even go further and accuse the fellow of treason and have him jailed.

In France people wistled the National Antheme and the President got so angry that he said that from now on such behavior will be punished with a Fine by those who disrespect the national symbols.

Well that is precisely the case in England. It did not stop them from Knighting The Beatles or the Rolling Stones did it ? ...

Don't be ridiculous ...
