TEHRAN, Feb. 21 (Xinhua) -- The spokesman of Iran's Aviation Organization Reza Jafar-zadeh Sunday said the Greek head flight attendant of Iran's Kish Air airline was ordered to leave Iran within 20 hours over "Persian Gulf" naming dispute, the state IRIB TV reported.

"Following the use of the forged title (Arabian Gulf) instead of Persian Gulf on the monitor of the flight number 7081," the Greek flight attendant working for Iran's Kish Air airline was expelled from the country, Jafar-zadeh was quoted as saying.

He did not give the name of the flight attendant.

On Friday night, a plane owned by Kish Air airline used the " forged title" instead of "Persian Gulf" when displaying the flight map to the passengers on a monitor, the report said, adding that passengers called for correction of the title, but the Greek head flight attendant took an aggressive tune and threatened the passengers with detention.

The name of the Persian Gulf has been disputed by some Arab countries since the 1960s. Iran has strongly protested the change of the name which has been predominantly used in most Arab countries.
