In my dream
The lover – no longer- plants his seed
In Earth’s womb bringing life to all
Who lie in peace
In my dream
A walk down childhood’s alley
A knock on the cracked wooden door laced with grace
Opens to tales as long as “a thousand and one nights”
Where Deeve rides the white horse and saves us all
From the Prince’s claws
In my dream
I swim naked as the day I was born
In a lake with water crisp and cold
The water cool soothes my skin
Under the darkness of night
Moon’s paleness brightens our plight
In my dream
My rose wilts at will
My weeping willow dances to the song of the wild
My Pope is cured of religion
His Mass his lover’s mane
He is a poet
Making a necklace of words
Strung together with the innocence of pearls
Without a thread
He clasps it behind his lover’s neck
In my dream
